Senator Leah Recasner and Senator Margaret Hildebrand have been working tirelessly to promote and advance Girls Education Globally. They are currently working on a bipartisan bill entitled G.I.R.L.S. or Global Interest Regarding Ladies Schooling. If passed, the bill will raise funding and promote awareness of the importance of the education of girls globally. Even providing education for one child can be the cause of a great economic advances for one small village.
Recently the Honorable Senator Leah Recasner of Washington and Senator Margaret Hildebrand took a journey to Ghana, Africa where they had to privilege of spending time at Bologatanga Girls Secondary School located in the most northern region of Ghana. They were able to spend a lot of time with the girls and visited some of their home villages where they gained a little perspective on the everyday life a girl would have.
